Retired Players

Something that may help you out for Free Agency...

ANY other player from the original ROM or previous draft is available as a free agent if they do not belong to a team presently. Keep in mind that the player must pass through the aging/retirement process (the proper number of times--multiple times for original ROM and earlier draft players) in order to join your team. Unselected players from college drafts will have the WORST of their possible attribute lines if picked up as a Free Agent. Also keep in mind that you may only have a practice squad of at most five players at the end of each offseason, and IF YOU PICK UP A PLAYER AS A FREE AGENT HE MUST BE ON YOUR 35 MAN ROSTER FOR THAT SEASON (EVEN IF THEY AGE). This will prevent people from abusing the Free Agency process. It is meant as a way to fill your roster and provide depth in the case of future aging/retirement.
